I usually do not reply to forums, but after the last couple weeks of having the worst kind of dry mouth I had to let anyone who needed help know that my dentist is having me use the following: PRO-SYS Professional Anti-Cavity Fluoride Toothpaste (He gave me a tube); Sensodyne Pro-Namel Multi-Action Toothpaste (to use after each meal and BEFORE you use the PRO-SYS); ACT lozenges; ACT gum and ACT mouth wash for dry mouth. My gums were actually dehydrated and my mouth was very raw and burning. I couldn't eat or drink..My lips were sticking to my teeth. I know it has to do with my medications so I contacted my doctor and we made some changes in mgs. for some of them. After doing this regimen for the last couple days (4x/day or more if needed) I can't tell you the difference. You may also have to cut down on caffeine, sugar, spices and any type of drinks that are astringents such as alcohol; soda; except for Sugar free. If you need to drink something make sure it isn't hot. I have been drinking Minute Maid Lite Lemonade and it really has helped.
I hope this helps someone out there who is suffering as I was. Good luck!
