I find nothing wrong with holding their feet to the fire on this issue, but at the same time I believe more understanding of what 'right' we already possess may need some attention as well. As I said before, if we have done all we know to do, we ask the question...'now what?' and we sometimes seek a physician if we have to. And yes, there should be more than just surgery as an option.
You say it is a malfunction of the chaperone protein known as 'alpha-crystallin' in the human lens, but what should 'we' be doing for our health to keep this from happening in the first place? Do doctor's know what the root cause is that started the whole process of 'alpha-crystallin', instead of just observing what the end result was and searching for a fix for the symptoms once they appear?
