Re: Food Intolerance
Thanks very much WS, it's something I'll look into for sure!
It's mad that you said that about the milk and cheese, because when I was growing up I had bad mucosal problems in my sinuses and chest and I was constantly on asthma medication. A friend of my mothers started practising chinese medicine and acupuncture, which I would typically baulk at, but we said we'd go for it since a consultation would cost nothing! The head honcho walked in and out of the blue said my mucosal problems were caused by dairy, bananas and nuts, stating (in not the most scientific terms) that "these wet foods in this wet European climate" were the reason for the mucus build-up. While I sincerely question this reasoning, in practise he was correct, and when I cut dairy out of my diet I have no asthma or phelgm problems at all.
And then with cheese, I've noticed that after eating cheese I smell particulary strong. However it's a smell I can detect, and it isn't fecal. It's more like spoiled milk, and it drives me insane... actually, now that I think about it, could this be due to my liver?
Does anyone else have parallels with any of the above so we can maybe put pieces together?
Again WS, seeing how active you are on this forum is really encouraging and I don't know if you're thanked enough for the help, so thank you.
