I took 3 days of Praziquantel (3x/day) with Albendazole (2x/day) trying to kill liver fluke. 1 or 2 days after completing the last dose I expelled about 10 hard, red, straight, short (slightly less than an inch) pieces that were not visible until I started dissecting my BM. I took this stool sample with about 5 of these sticks to the doctor and the lab results came back negative. When I talked to the GI doctor he said that parasites are soft and said it must have been something I ate. I can't think of why on earth I'd be eating red sticks, but regardless that was the professional help I was left with. Do these medicines (separately or in combination) cause liver flukes to harden?
