Re: Cortef not working, Prednisone or Cortef?

Remember, there are many things that can cause or contribute to fatigue. Hopefully you read about one of them in Dr Huggins' article on CFS.

Chronic, low dose mercury exposure will cause quite a few problems that cause or contribute to fatigue. I'm not saying you necessarily have that problem, but I'm just sharing it as an example.

You'll need to look into thyroid, including Free T3, not just TSH.

Iron

Mitochondria support such as CoQ10

Methylation support--B12, folic acid, TMG, zinc, etc.

Possible support for catecholamine neurotransmitters.

You might identify with this engineer-physicist whose Chronic-Fatigue-Syndrome was due to mercury.

If you have low levels of cortisol in your body I'd expect the HC medication and other hormones to be helpful over the long term; however, I'm never surprised when they are not a cure-all in a mercury toxic person. Mercury damages so may systems in the body.
