MANY YEARS AGO I REALLY BELIEVED THAT THE DR. JOHN R. CHRISTOPHER WAY OF TEACHING WAS VERY GOOD-------1 BOOK WITH 1 STUDY GUIDE. FILL OUT YOUR STUDY GUIDE AND THEN YOU GET YOUR NEXT BOOK/STUDY GUIDE……..I WAS SO NAIVE THAT I WANTED TO HAVE 108 BOOKS WITH 108 STUDY GUIDES TO COVER EVERY SUBJECT OF HUMAN LONGEVITY WELL…………..BUT BY BOOK 2 AND BOOK 3 I LEARNED HUMANS IN GENERAL HAVE ZERO USE FOR SUCH AN EDUCATION……….EDUCATION TO THEM IS SOMETHING YOU PAY ALLOT OF $$$$$ FOR AND BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO IF YOU WANT TO MAKE MORE $$$$.

HEALTH EDUCATION POINTS OUT ALL THE REASONS WHY WE ARE KILLING OUR SELVES AND ALL THE THINGS OUT THERE THAT ARE KILLING US AND THOSE ARE SUBJECTS PEOPLE REALLY HATE TO READ ABOUT---IT MAKES THEM FEEL SO HELPLESS………SO THAT THEORY OF MINE WAS A 100% FAILURE, SO I STOPPED WASTING MY TIME AFTER BOOK 3………….ACTUALLY BOOKS 2 AND 3 SCARED PEOPLE SO BADLY THAT THE COUPLE OF PEOPLE THAT DID READ THEM HAD NO COMMENT.

DONATION IS ANOTHER SUBJECT MOST PEOPLE DREAD…..SO FOR 20+ years we never charged for a seminar or for talking to people on the phone and by e-mail. Brenda does phone and i do e-mail. Brenda takes every order, packages every order, makes all the labels and tracking and does the charge card thing for people…so she spends many hours every day on the phone. The word "donation" never comes into the conversation…….most people live month to month and have no free $$ to give away---years ago I tried to suggest donating so it would help give the few poor people that came by way of this forum asking for help---often young mothers or young mothers to be and the country is loaded with extreme poor and battered amish women loaded down with 2-3 nursing babies as they are being worked literally to death that will ask for free anything to help a sick baby--because they are dime less. The idea of donations 10+ years ago was an ambitious idea that a couple of people gave a few bucks for and it was fun, etc. but seems long ago. I TELL PEOPLE to buy a book if they want to "give" and that never worked either, but maybe 2-3 people that did read the book, wanted to buy them and give them away, but must have discovered people would not take them, because that never panned out as well…….

Dealing with the public is best like this:

ALLOW GOD TO DIRECT THEM, because that is what is going to happen anyway----BUT, if you go out and try to locate potential customers---you are certain to find BAD PEOPLE………..when people search on their own…that is a correct person and maybe 1% of them will like what they read enough to stay with it for years to come and maybe 5% of that 1% will be changed for life.

At any given time over the past 20 years we have approx. 200 people with "interest". That actually works out ideally……just enough to have a reason to get out of bed each day and package a few boxes. What has literally amazed me over the past 20+ years is this 1 fact: The greatest interest in our products are from the other side of the earth or at the minimum 3,000 miles away………if we shipped out of country that would be a full time job and full time head ache……so we do not ship out of county, yet some of those people figure out ways and pay the huge shipping fees and even resell in other countries on the other side of the planet.

You can find Brenda at http://www.oldfashionedspices.com and she pays all the bills and does all the endless hours on the phone………..1 thing many people earn for is someone to talk to and since she loves to talk---that has made her life interesting for her…..Brenda has heard it all from all parts of the world, every situation, from extreme poor people to not so poor folk and since she will "sale" them something, they like her even better! Seems people enjoy "buying" stuff, even if they never consume it. I tend to tell people herbs are at best 1/6th their solution and they don't want to hear that, because they know that other 5 parts of the conversation is the stuff they don't want to hear about.
