IT is very odd how Iodine works. Most people report a hypo reaction to taking Iodine at first. I'm not an expert on this but it seems the endo system pauses some of it's function while it uptakes the iodine. You can tell because your thyroid will enlarge while on iodine.
Everyone will give you their expert advice. No one knows for sure.
Slowly build up you Iodine consumption. If you are having adverse effects back down the dose until you don't but keep bumping it up as you can tolerate.
It took me nearly a year to get to 50 MG. 3 years on all my goiters are gone. I have backed the dosage down for periods but I return to 50 MG as I can tolerate.
Too many people jump into high doses and get sick and then they give up. Everything takes time. Be patient but persistent.
I had bad iodinephobia but it nearly cost me my life. Nothing to be afraid of if you go slow.
