Re: Fasting failure
Yes, up until I was probably 22 I was eating crap my whole life. So it's only the last 8 years that have been eating/living healthier cleaner.
First I developed an allergy to shrimp at 19 (I had been eating it my whole life, with no problems.)
My PCOS reared it's ugly head for the first time when I was 23, hirsutism, cysts, weight gain... The whole 9 yards.
I have been anemic, and asthmatic my whole life. I have been overweight my whole life.
Then came intolerances to any sort of food I had not cooked myself, slowly but surely foods began giving me problems, so as I find new problem foods they get eliminated.
I found I was pre-diabetic just this year. And so I eliminated breads/grains/pastas for awhile, and avoided added sugars of any kind like the plague.
I eat only organics, and I make my own foods, I brew my own kombucha, and I make my own kefir.
90 percent of the food in my house is homemade. I buy ingredients instead of meals. i don't do processed anything, and I have never been one for artificial sweeteners, except when I used to drink soda. (As we know high fructose corn syrup is in just about everything) I refuse to eat any foods that have ingredients I don't know what are or cannot pronounce, I don't eat anything "Sugar Free" or "Fat Free" I see those and my first thought is "Chemical shit storm".. So I'd like to think that I make mostly good choices. So treats are the exception not the rule. (Though living with my husband who is addicted to
Sugar is not always the easiest. Lol)
