I have done many fasts in my life, but never broke my fast with watermelon, many do, it is ok. In my case I do much better with citrus fruit juices. I have craved lemons after many of my fasts.
It is good to break a long fast with diluted juice of an organic orange or grapefruit. You can drink tomato juice also. No store bought packaged juice, please.
Build your appetite slowly. Eat only when hungry, don't over eat. Continue drinking water when not eating. No supplements, after a week of consuming juices, eat raw salads for another week, then you can eat some cooked foods. You want your body to absorb all nutrients from nature made foods, all micronutrients it can get from plant based foods. Masticate all foods you eat to a slurry then swallow.
