Yes I agree with you. A lot of the journal seem to mention stress as the underlying cause for the condition whereas stress is the outcome of having EC. Although it may be arguable that stress can prevent healing.

I think its best when seeking help with doctors to either leave your symptoms alone so they can see with their own eyes the severity of the condition or to take a few photos in of your lips when they are bad and flaring so they can also get a good visual of the condition. I don't think it’s much use to freshly peel your lips and then go into the doctor’s office because your lips will look okay and only slightly irritated and the doctor won't see the seriousness in your condition”

I COMPLETELY agree, which is why whenever I have an upcoming dermatologist appointment I leave my lips alone.

In fact recently I shocked one of them as I collected 2months worth of scabs in a jar to illustrate the shit I deal with.

I had photos taken too. Let’s see where that takes me!

Oh and also, great post. I second all of what you said. I’m starting to change my outlook on EC and I find I cope with it much better.
