Re: Yes, if you have the gut
Thank you, I am about to check out some of those links. Very helpful information.
I know that my microbiome is damaged (no Candida).
A quick summary:
12 years ago I started eating imbalanced packaged foods and drank diet soda instead of water every day. I also had several courses of
Antibiotics . I became sicker and sicker with strange symptoms, many of which lead to brain fog, learning disabilities, mood swings, lowered immunity, weight gain and others.
4 years ago I tried to get better by cleaning up my eating to unprocessed foods and water. I was told that a lot of my symptoms were similar to Candida overgrowth so I followed to diet strictly (almost no carbs, no sugars or fruits only non starchy vegetables and meat). A diet regrettably ultra low in fiber.
I did this for a year, then I tried to incorporate carbs back in to my diet only to find that I was intolerant to them. I have tried many approaches but the symptoms are unbearable so I avoid.
Last year, i came into some information that lead me to believe that if I could get rid of the fats in my diet I could possibly clean out my lymph system and jump start some healing.
So for 3 months I forced myself to eat nothing but lean meats and non starchy vegetables. Big mistake as I put myself in a form of "rabbit starvation". I stopped this diet after my hair started falling out.
I soon found that my digestion had worsened and I have an intense hunger that is near constant.
That was November 2016, since then I have found myself still in a near constant state of hunger no matter how much I eat, and have less and less energy all the time. My body also has been slowly eating at my muscle mass making me weaker.
I have been through many drs and specialists and even a naturopath and a well educated Chinese medicine specialist/acupuncturist and have had no help in finding a resolution.
As you can see my microbiome has been under much abuse over the years.
My brother is coming to stay for the summer and has volunteered to be a donor for FMT. He leads a very
healthy Diet and lifestyle, I plan to do 2 weeks straight of FMT. I am hoping for this to be a solution to this issue and hopefully for the other symptoms I have picked up over the years.
Thanks again for the responses.
