I am also thinking EC is seb derm related.my corners of nose, hair , some beard areas get itchy and flakes.turn white after frequent contact or contact with the water.I mostly solved hair dandruff with antifungal shampoo.seb derm mostly affect oily, excess sebum areas since my hair and T-zone very oily.But I wondering that why our lips affected? Interestingly my last dermatologist said that my lips overprocuding sebum and gave me Accutane low dose.I started but quit after 7 days due to heavy side-effects.Studies show that seb derm caused by some yeasts which grow with sebums.I think we must firstly diagnose whether or not we have yeast or bacteria overgrowht on lips.
My other observations:
*Build ups and crackings straightly vertical in upper lip but random in bottom lip.
*build up and peeling cycle speed up when contact with foods(especially floury foods) and longtime talking, smiling.
*My EC and Seb-Derm quitely improves in summer.
