Re: exfoliative cheilitis and sjogrens syndrome

You wrote that you've only been on a gluten-free diet for 9 months? Do you know that it often takes 3-5 years for the gut damage to heal from celiac disease? Of course, if you didn't consume as much gluten in your diet or didn't go so long undiagnosed, yoru gut would heal faster due to less gut damage. It's possible that your gut still isn't healed. Have you gained weight? Celiacs are usually very skinny and start gaining weight once they start absorbing nutrients better.

May I ask if you're buying gluten-free packaged foods? Those aren't good for you because they lack many vitamins that gluten-rich foods contain and contain all this fat and sugar. It's best to eat fresh vegetables and fruits insteasd of packaged foods...not that you're eating packaged foods.

I don't know why you're feeling worse on a gluten-free diet, but 9 months isn't enough time to make an assessment since it's often a slow healing process.
