Could This Be Morgellons?
Okay, I currently have a rash that has perplexed the doctor I went to at a clinic. In fact, the doctor said she never saw a rash like mine in her medical career (though she seemed to be a younger woman).
It's coming back, and I'm frankly very scared that this may be Morgellon's. The rash is dry and flaky and appears in random spots. No fibers or anything like that and no
parasites that I've seen However, I do periodically get these crawling sensations on my skin almost like it's a bug on me but there's nothing there.
The rash also itches a bit. My face is also quite dry and I have a lot of dry skin on my body. I drink quite heavily as well, but obviously that would have nothing to do with Morgellon's if that's what's going on. From what I've read, I gathered that Morgellon's is some type of poorly understood bacterial and/or parasitic infection that has yet to be thoroughly researched.
I have psoriasis, but the doctor didn't think it was related. Do these symptoms sound Morgellon's like? Also, should I mention my concerns about Morgellon's to a doctor, or does this sound like something else entirely. Frankly, I'm terrified by the mere thought of having Morgellon's after having read about it. Also, is there any way to get rid of Morgellons if it's true that I develop it?
