Actually toilet seats are built to not collect bacteria or parasites. Unless you have an open wouldn't on the cheeks you should be fine. However, with toilet paper on the seat the pores in the paper act as a vector for airborne pathogens to make their way from the air and water to your bum. Although this is basically harmless as your skin is a great line of defense against most bacterium it can result in issues if there no handwashing. Tweet
