Find your eczema triggers

Most people suffering from eczema, misunderstand eczema, and are treating the skin, where the symptoms are, while systematically ignoring the fact that those symptoms are usually just a sign of intolerance or allergy to something else.

More often than not, that something else is something you eat or something you put in your mouth.

When you have eczema around your mouth, odds are 10 times higher that it is something you actually put in your mouth, like some food, or drink or orthodontics like braces or lip balm or toothpaste or mouthwash or cosmetics or dust particles.

Here is a short list of most common foods that are the most common eczema triggers in many people with eczema:

- milk and milk products with lactose
- wheat
- gluten
- soy
- eggs
- shrimps
- nuts / tree nuts
- food additives like preservatives
- strawberries and other berries
- nightshades like tomatoes and paprika and eggplant
- other grains

Just about any food can be eczema trigger, but these listed above are the most common triggers for the largest number of people.

There are even kids who react to bananas, or even meat.

To find out if it is food you react to, try Elimination-Rotation Diet .

Allergy testing and intolerance testing can also help .
