Re: Theory of the cause of EC (technical discussion)

Just wondering if you have a dry mouth. Candida bacteria overrgowth inthe mouth can be caused by a dry mouth. Do you have a white film on your tongue which suggest overgrowth? Do you breathe through your mouth which dried it out? Did you take Accutane which some have stated dry mouth as permanent side effect.

I remember when I had braces on my teeth. The orthodontist would often saw how juicy my mouth was. I didn't have EC then, but I don't know how my lips would have been able to tolerate those orthodontic appointments if I did. Since then, I developed allergies which enlarged/swelled my turbinates and blocked my nasal passages causing me to breathe through my mouth.

Because oral probiotics have improved peeling lips, I wonder if dry mouth causing overgrowth of candida/bacteria may be a factor or at least one of them.
