really interesting are the comments, and how differently people see the issue. Some see Trump standing up to "mexican drug cartels", while others see the police state using civil forfeiture to take assets without any criminal conviction... regardless of whether the person was a mexican drug gang member, or just a guy with too much cash on him...

in other words, emotion and framing of the 'anti mexican drug lord' angle sucks people into supporting the police state civil forfeiture system... I suspect this dynamic would never have worked with Obama at the helm, at least not with the segment of the population now supporting forfeiture.
