Re: Ben Garrison Cartoons-updated for Superbowl
the wiki description is basically adequate:
"A political faction is a group of individuals, such as a political party, a trade union, or other group with a common political purpose. A faction or political party may include fragmented sub-factions, "parties within a party," which may be referred to as power blocs, or voting blocs. Members of factions band together as a way of achieving these goals and advancing their agenda and position within an organization.
Factions are not limited to political parties; they can and frequently do form within any group that has some sort of political aim or purpose."

but the intent of my post was really more to the point that most of what that guy is depicting is illusion, doesn't achieve anything really beneficial for the majority of citizens in the long term, and worse still, is probably just a set up for longer term plans to further undermine the people and their lives.
its the Hegelian dialectic that plays out over and over again, while making one group believe it is making progress (winning), while others believe that disaster is unfolding (losing)...
if i would boil it down, it would be fascism vs marxism is what is depicted in the illustrations... the problem of course is, that the same root powers control both of these isms... and their agenda plays out whichever ism is temporarily 'winning'....
