You might try squeezing your head -- both palms on your temples and push in. Also try squeezing the accupressur point between thumb and forefinger about an inch from the webbing. Feel around for the place the muscles are thick.
Water, lots of water will help. Consider a hot pack for your neck. Soak 1/2 of a bath towel in water, wring it out, then fold it in half lengthwise and roll the wet part inside the dry part. Pop it in the microwave till it is steamy hot. Put it on the bed and lay on it. This is also good for the sinus area on the face.
