4 days, 102 F fever, totally exhausted. How to heal?
Hi all,
I have 101.5 - 102.5 F fever for 4 days now. My body aches all over and feels cold. I have very little stamina to do anything, have only been able to bathe once in this time. I spend most of the day in bed under a quilt. I also have a clogged nose and cough.
What would be a wise way of responding to this condition?
I have decided to let the illness run its course and take away the toxicity from my body. However, I wonder if there are things that may speed up this process?
I have very little appetite but I eat fruit a few times a day because I have a mild craving for it and because I thought vitamin C would help in recovery. I also didn't want to go into fasting mode by not eating anything, because I would get even more cold then.
So I eat a few oranges a day, and maybe a guava and sapodilla, and have a few glasses of orange or pineapple juice. Also drink quite a bit of water.
I am too tired and cold for an enema, but I did take high dosages of triphala a couple of times to induce a bowel movement, which made me feel better for a short while.
What else can I do to help get over this, what I think, is a healing process, faster?
Also, eating only fruit may actually increase
Sugar levels and suppress the immune system. Is this true? If it were I wonder how one would justify juice fasts and fruit fasts.
Also, could the oranges have caused the cough? I read somewhere that this can happen.
Apart from the physical agony its also pretty tough emotionally to be confined indoors and very sensitive to every vibration around. I think I partly fell sick because of emotional reasons.
I would appreciate it if anyone could help me understand the physiological and emotional side of this.
