oily scalp is the giveaway...that "oil" is chock full of hair-killing hormones. You must wash your hair 2 times a day and never every go to bed with a scalp full of sebum and grease. When you are washing your hair scrape the sebum and gunk off your scalp until your fingernails are full of debris. Wash your hair in lukewarm water, not too hot. Warm is okay. Once scalp is dry scrape your scalp with your fingernails until it hurts. These micro-wounds pull up special healing chemicals that promote hair growth. You can use liquid castile soap or any shampoo. Get the darn sebum off your scalp now! Diet has nothing to do with hairloss except in very rare cases. Most impoverished populations have good hair. You are hormone sesitive, which means your folicles are genetically sensitive to testosterone. Best advice is to keep your scalp squeaky clean and dry of sebum. Most people with good hair, or most women have nice dry, clean scalps, most people losing their hair have shiny, greasy scalps.
