Hi My mother who is 89 came down with a blood clot on her lung and pneumonia after receiving a flu shot by accident in nursing home. It was right on the top of her chart that she was allergic to flu shot as we had a few bouts in the hospital shortly after the shot numerous other years she gets very sick and all her levels go down, her primary Dr. said no more flu shots and for the past 8 yrs of myself caring for her we had had no issues or sickness. The nurse called me and told me she accidentally gave her a shot and they kept pushing steroids on her so she wouldn't get sick but now she almost died and is still hospitalized 8 days later. I am wondering about the shot. I don't take them so I don't know. The nursing home just called me and told me I have to pay $350 a day to hold her spot in the home, I don't know what to do as I can't psychically take care of her anymore, and she was just starting to get adjusted to the place. Thanks for listening to my problem and I hope your Dad is better. The VA literally killed my Dad a Pilot in WW2 and LT. with metals he was treated so terrible but her wanted the VA that guilt will never leave me.
