My Father Had blood drawn at the VA & recieved flu shot in his left arm last thurs.. He developed bad bruising and swelling in the area. Apx 12 to 18 hrs later he developed some tingeling and odd feelings in his left arm which was still very sore.. 24 hrs after the shot he developed a low grade fever, and a few other flu like symptoms. Apx 48 hours after the shot he stared loseing feeling & movement in his left arm and progressivly the left side of his body. On hospitalization he was told he had had a light stroke.
After much testing including brain MRIs etc No cause was found for the stroke. Dr says he looks very healthy. HE is almost 80 has slight diabetes and has had some heart problems for many yrs but did not have high blood pressure or any other contributing factor they could find. HE is back home now 3 days after the stroke and getting around with a cane or walker.
My questions are. Does anyone know if an injection site hematoma can break loose and cause this type of a stroke?? Some info I read seemed to point that it could but I really cant find anything. It is now 6 days after the shot and blood test and his arm is still purple and sore.
Has anyone heard of this type of reaction to the current flu shot. I am not sure which one the VA in TX is giving.
I make be shooting in the dark but I think We ought to check out the possibilities so if anyone has info or knows where I should look please let me know. Thanks very muchAdvertisement

This is a reply to # 368,887Sorry to hear about your father's troubles.
Stroke can be such a difficult thing to detect at times.Nothing showed up on the scan, which likely means it is "other" than a blood clot problem. [About that, I am not sure if an 'inj.site hemotoma' can be caused from a vaccination needle, usually that happens from repeating same site pokes, not a first-time as no "old dry blood" was there...]
It isn't allways a stroke that causes those symptoms either - many "brain injuries" do the same thing to us as strokes do, right? [Concussion, for eg.]
This brings up the idea that the Vaccine's contents may have done the harm - mercury is in it if Thimerisol was ued for the preservative, it preservative was needed for this flu shot - normally they do use it, yes.
You absolutely must try and find out from the VA what was in the shot... ask about preservative and don't let them shrug it off, which they will try to do - "oh, you don't need to know if it is in there or not, we know it is safe". Don't believe the medical staff, they have been highly trained by the pharmaceutical industry themselves [brainwashed].

This is a reply to # 368,897Hi My mother who is 89 came down with a blood clot on her lung and pneumonia after receiving a flu shot by accident in nursing home. It was right on the top of her chart that she was allergic to flu shot as we had a few bouts in the hospital shortly after the shot numerous other years she gets very sick and all her levels go down, her primary Dr. said no more flu shots and for the past 8 yrs of myself caring for her we had had no issues or sickness. The nurse called me and told me she accidentally gave her a shot and they kept pushing steroids on her so she wouldn't get sick but now she almost died and is still hospitalized 8 days later. I am wondering about the shot. I don't take them so I don't know. The nursing home just called me and told me I have to pay $350 a day to hold her spot in the home, I don't know what to do as I can't psychically take care of her anymore, and she was just starting to get adjusted to the place. Thanks for listening to my problem and I hope your Dad is better. The VA literally killed my Dad a Pilot in WW2 and LT. with metals he was treated so terrible but her wanted the VA that guilt will never leave me.

Could it possibly be this?
Gullian-Barre Syndrome (GBS). Guillian-Barre is disorder characterized by progressive paralysis, beginning in the feet and advancing up the body, often causing paralysis of the diaphragm and breathing muscles within a matter of hours or days.

i have my flu shot last wednesday the other week. last week i have experienced heart ache and high blood pressure. i went to the hospital and diagnosed with hypertension. it really made me really sick. i do not suggest everyone to get one. better not have it. much worse, my medical insurance my company where i work do not cover medicine expenses.
