Iodine Protocol anti-TPO antibodies question

Hey everyone

First of all I owe you all a huge thank you for all your efforts here. I've been lurking around different Iodine forums and this one is by far the most grounded and informative. I'm getting pretty desperate so would love your infput...

Here goes
I am soon to start the Iodine protocol but one thing is bothering me... In the last year and a half I've been unsuccessful in lowering my anti-TPO antibodies even though I tried hard. They remain through the roof and are not budging and it's pissing me off.
I read so many different blogs, books and posts about Iodine supplementation and I remember, and please correct me if I'm wrong, that's it's very important to lower your antibodies before you start the protocol?

That's all peaches if only it was that easy for me. Quick history of failed attempts:

- Did the whole AIP thing and went grain/legume/nut/seed free for 7 months and nothing
- Remained on AIP for another 6 months but slowely introduced rice, potatoes, some nuts. Health really picked up, antibodies didn't change.
- Took Selenium (l-selenomethionine) for 9 months and nothing
- Took Zinc bisglycinate and l-glutamine for 8 months and nothing
- Have been gluten-free for a 1 year and 1/2 now and nothing
- RBC Magnesium on the upper side of the range, so good I guess
- 'Borderline' deficient in iodine
- No active EBV, CMV or Mycoplasma
- Am yet to be tested for MTHFR
- Digestion seems to be good, I don't have candida

I'm 'subclinical' Hashi's, not medicated and have been advised against taking medication by my doctor and doing the iodine protocol first to see what happens.

Should I try LDN? DHEA? Diet at the moment: no glutens, no dairy, no sugar, some organic meat, lots of vegetables and fruit (greens, bananas, berriesm apples...), some black rice, some beans, eggs.

Please help I'm at a deat end
