I have done 2 5-day juice fasts, 3 14-19 day MC's, 3 liver flushes, 1 parasite cleanse and a few days of the P&B "shakes". I started about a year and a half ago. I dropped from 250 to 208, and stabilized at 212. I felt great! I started cleansing to get off the many prescription meds I was taking. I stopped them all cold turkey (NOT RECOMMENDED) and cleansed the toxins out of my system. I was on state disability and had plenty of time to "take it easy". When I finished the intense month of cleansing, my doctor released me to return to work! I am still limited in how long/often I can sit due to serious back problems, but I was able to return to work and kept the weight off for over 6 months.

The Master-Cleanse seems to be the easiest for me to stay on. But around day 14-16 I start getting intense back/hip/leg pain and start easing off. I know that I need to push through this healing crisis one of these days, and I'm hoping that switching to juice will help me to do this. I have read that citrus long term is not good for those with joint problems, but I want to keep fasting past that point. I'm curious to see how I do this time!

Back to my history, working (and the driving involved) aggrevated my back problem, and I went back on some meds to keep working. This started a cycle that I allowed to result in weight gain. One day last month, I weighed myself and realized I was back to 250. Actually, I hit 259 before I started cleaning up my eating habits again. I leveled off at 250 and was ready to start my MC. It lasted a day or two, and I made an excuse for myself and stopped. Then I made the promise to myself to get back on track. And here I am.

I am still craving the wrong foods, so I know I need to stay on the Master-Cleanse for a while longer. Each time I do a "long" MC, my cravings change from cheese, burritos, chips, etc. to apples, carrots, tomatoes, etc. When that happens, I'll switch to juice fasting for the rest of the month (with some lemonades added in).

There's the basic history of my fasting. I have attempted other MC's but don't count them unless I get past day 3. I didn't notice much benefit from my parasite cleanse. In spite of a collander in the toilet, I never saw anything that could possibly be an indication of parasites. The P&B shakes were interesting, and I hope to try them again at some point.
