Iodine supplementation and Neck pain

Hello -

Recently started supplementing with Iodine. I was taking Icelandic Kelp. I felt GREAT (energy / focus / mood stabilization) for about 10 days now problems are starting.

I'm hypothyroid and take 1/2 grain of Naturethroid every morning.

My new issues are neck pain, weight gain, leg cramps. increase in tinnitus, and whooshing in my ears. These symptoms are the same as when my doctor tried me on synthroid (awful) or when I was on too much Naturethroid.

I added selenium last night.

Questions:

1) It feels a little like I'm on too much Naturethroid. Is it possible that Iodine supplementation can remove the need for the Naturethroid?

2) How the heck do I figure this out?

Thanks in advance to anyone that takes the time to help me. I'm sure the answer is simple enough but I'm overwhelmed and bummed that I felt great for 10 days but don't know how to get it back. I don't want to ditch the Iodine as I'm now certain it's a key component to wellness.

Best regards,
MJB
