Re: Bio-compatibility of Dental implant cement

Thanks for the feedback. No he did not check for Bio-compatibility. I did have one done about 10 years ago and still have the results, but there are probably new materials now. My options were limited, 1)zirconia 2)titanium 3)partial 4)leave void. If I left it void then bone loss and teeth shifting would probably eventually happen. A partial does little to prevent bone loss. Zirconia seems to be more bio-compatible than titanium. That's how I made my choice. There is really no good option once you lose a tooth. I researched dentists and could not find any I was completely satisfied with. He was the most holistic one I could find. He is mercury free, anti-floride, and uses ozone during surgery. I have to drive over 2 hours just to get to his office. I do agree a bio-compatibility test would have still been beneficial. I may suggest one for the cement, as there are probably many. I think all foreign material in the body will have some bio compatibility issues. I just wondered if anyone had any specific knowledge regarding cement. I'm sure some are blatantly bad for you like a mercury filling would be.
