There is nothing wrong with reading the Apocrypha books. I'm sure there is a lot of good information
in them. However, the Bible is reserved for books that were God-breathed as they were penned by the prophets in the original text. These books came about at the time when there were no prophets. Malachi's prophecy is that no prophet would arise from God until the coming of John.
