Re: Couple general liver flush questions
It's my understanding that the bile can make a person feel sick if it sits there and isn't excreted, and I'm also assuming it could be reabsorbed. If it's full of toxins, that would not be optimal. I read a couple of posts from people saying to do enemas or
colonics to make sure it's all out. So I would guess that the minimal thing to do would be to take that last dose of
Epsom Salts or magnesium to force the body to flush the last bits out.
I'm not entirely sure if there is a need for a 2 hour window, I imagine those are just somewhat arbitrary guidelines. For instance, on the Dr. Christopher's site, the instructions for a
Liver Flush are given as an old time remedy and there is no mention of
Epsom Salts or magnesium at all, just the apple juice for a few days and then the oil and citrus on the morning after the third day.
Perhaps the
Epsom Salts were added by people to ensure evacuation of the bowels because think of how many people are backed up and could make themselves incredibly sick by
Liver Flushing and not being able to eliminate the bile and stones and other waste.
I've also heard that some people get sick during the night on an overnight liver flush. Someone I knew who did it that way told me he was in a lot of pain and felt very sick all night, which was another reason I decided to do the daytime liver flush. A poster on here (I've quoted her somewhere if you go through my posts) said she always gets sick on the overnight flush and never on the daytime flush and she thought it was from the bile sitting around all night. That made sense to me.
Maybe eating some fruit earlier than the 2 hours wouldn't hurt if that would help with the hypoglycemia? I would eat something that is easily digestible. Maybe a light blended soup even?
I also don't know if you want this information, but in looking into the pancreas this morning (I have a pain in that area and my digestion has never been good), I decided to order Dr. Christopher's pancreas formula. I read some testimonials on Amazon from people who said it really helped their hypoglycemia. Just a thought.
It's too bad that doctors, and even many naturopaths, ignore or disparage liver flushing, otherwise it might be easier to get concrete answers instead of just through trial and error, but I still trust certain natural methods over conventional medicine. I was thinking yesterday how many naturopaths I have seen over the years and not one has recommended
Liver Flushing or even
Liver Cleansing or
parasite cleansing, and now I am finding out that's what I needed to do all along.
