I've been experimenting with water only method hair care. You have to control bacteria to have great results.

Some things that work well are tea tree oil over night, green tea in the day on the scalp.

I also use teeny amounts of coconut oil all through my scalp and hair. It gets rid of bad bacteria.

It's possible though that the bacteria you got was too strong for those oils. Tweet
