Cankersore normal?

Hi, this is my third time starting the fast. Unfortunately, the timing coincides with a cold (sore throat, etc...) and drinking the lemonade hurts a little.

This reminds me that on both previous fasts, by day 10, I had devloped canker sores at the back of throat that seemed to be brought on by the juice. Is this normal? Do other people experience this? Is there any way to prevent these from returning this time?
