I had giardia - do I now have worms?
I have a very long story that goes back about 4 months diagnosed with GERD / Acid reflux then treated with omeprazole (adcid reducer), a clear endoscopy with negative biopsy, clear ultrasound, medication testing, and finally a positive
parasite test for Giardia.
I did not have all of the typical signs of giardia such as diarrhea nor vomiting. However I did have gastritus, cramps, intestine pain, floating foul stools, and some nausea.
Metronidazole 500 mg 3x daily for 10 days and still felt bad. 2G of tinidazole 2 doses 10 days apart. Tested again and negative for
parasites now.
However, my symptoms of abdominal pain remain. They are slighly better with no nausea but that was never too bad before either. I have been on docylimine and heavy probiotics for 2 weeks now and still have symptoms.
I have written book quality content for the doctors that I have been seeing and they are not helpful. Again 4.5 months now and I'm very depressed with this problem that will not go away.
Beyond my symptoms I also notice small white and hard specs in my stool the size of or just smaller than sesame seeds. Also still floating and lots of small holes all over. I suspect worms but doctors don't seem interested since the
parasite test was last seen as negative. Giardia has H Pylori and Whipworms as cousins right?
The other notice is my tonsils look like hell with holes and tonsil stones poking through. I wonder if this is an infection and what is causing my gerd like symptoms and maybe more into my gut? All flows in that direction right?
I realized there is much more to all of this and I could of just copied and pasted my mini book I wrote for the doctors including logging my diet and health for 3 weeks. Every step with the doctors is 2-4 weeks between waiting for appointments and waiting for medications and / or treatment responses.
