High yeast/fungus, pinworms, D fragilis and die off advice

Hi everyone,

I need some help.

For the last 5 years or so I've had gut issues (white-clear fluffy/stringy mucous on stools, reflux, bloating/distension, food intolerances , weight loss) that GP's and gastroenterologists have been unable to solve.

I had D.Fragilis at one point but after meds and a follow up test was told it was gone. They found Klebsiella Oxytoca too but I was told this isn't considered a pathogen. I've got 2 young kids and we've all had pinworms on/off over the last few years too.

I've recently been seeing an integrative GP who after mentioning the first BM after a colonic is often covered in lots of white fluffy mucous/balls and having high yeast/fungus readings in 3 separate Metametrix GI profile tests (+4, +2, +3 all taxonomy unknown) is adamant yeast/fungus is the issue and to try an Oregano oil, Grapefruit-Seed-Extract and Nystatin regime.

Each time I try antifungals though, as is happening again with this latest effort, a few days in stools turn to mush and I start coughing up thick mucous. When I stop the anti fungals a few days later stools return to 'normal' and the mucous disappears.

So my question is....
Is this die off or just a reaction to anti fungals? Seems too much of a coincidence that I'd be allergic/sensitive to all the different anti fungals I've tried.

Or maybe it's a hard core pinworm infection?

Any advice or feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I'd be happy to share what I took to (supposedly) get rid of D.Fragilis too if anyones interested.

Thanks for reading!
J
