I agree for the most part. I'm actually seeing a dermatologist privately on friday. Sadly health care has become a business. Doctors are in it for the money, not exclusively, but certainly it is a factor. I am paying £190, I suppose that would be the equivalent of 250 dollars. I'm going to ask about the aquaphor constant moisture method and see if he thinks I have a chance of healing my lips. My expectations are low. I'm hoping at the very least he will pay lip service to my approach, this will make me feel as though I'm on the right track. I have been asking myself all week whether it's a waste of money, it probably is, but it's only a one off. If he suggests blood tests, i.e for underlying disease, I will get a referral back to see him on the NHS (which is free healthcare). The wating times for this is months to years, and it's unlikely the lip peeling is caused from anything underlying. You guys have to remember that this is a very very small area of the body, and if everything else is ticking along without much issue, this points towards lip trauma caused from licking/biting. If a parasite or some such thing was responsible you would see disorder in other parts of the body.
