Re: Leaky Gut / Adrenal Fatigue / Weight Loss - Losing Hope
What you have is severe increased intestinal permeability where your food is being absorbed into your blood stream before it is digested. Therefore large food molecules are entering your blood stream where your immune system is reacting to them producing anti bodies which are lodging into your tissues where your immune system control is weakest. Hence the autoimmune symptoms ie
Arthritis and itching of your skin. I bet that you itch very soon after eating, I certainly did and possibly also in the early hours.
You are not breaking down your food and therefore not getting sufficient nutrients such as amino acids which you are probably deficient in.
I had big problems with healing of my skin for many years and it wasn't until I started digesting protein properly that my skin started forming scabs when injured. Before this my skin would slowly replace the skin cells and usually form scars for even minor scratches. Since digesting protein better I now form scabs and heal much better. I asked doctors about my poor skin healing on many occasions and was always told the same reason, a reason which was utter rubbish and proven incorrect by my experiences with improved protein digestion.
Be aware that your body has very high demands on nutrients and your intake is probably being exhausted because your demands are so high. I would recommend a high quality enzyme activated B vitamin which does not contain folic acid only natural folates. Better would be individual B vitamins of 50mg taken multiple times a day. 100mg of the main B vits B1, B2, B6, be careful with B3 as it can cause some people problems. B12 I would recommend very high doses of 15 to 30mg/day but it must be in an absorbable form. If you are methyl group deficient then methylcobalmin would be a good choice. This should help reduce/stop your itching and lessen your arthritis. It does up-regulate T suppressor cells which will dampen down your immune response. You will need to seal your digestive system to stop the problems but B12 should help a fair bit in the short term.
