yes, auto-loading links and a/v can contribute to this budgetary dilemma. The kind that is most often problematic for me are the posts for which the thread header includes an indicator for each post within the thread that contains still images of some sort - camera indicator - or an a/v - movie cam indicator - and of course it is one thing when you click and find the thread contains one or two photos .... but another thing all together when it contain dozens. It is the latter type for which one click produces a huge data hit for a given viewer 😰
