Re: Adrenal Fatigue or Hypothyroidism?
Many thanks for the detailed reply Klauss.
I will try to get more info from blood tests asap.
By conversion issue how far along do you think my adrenalal fatigue is, or are you assuming thyroid issues here? Don't worry I'm not thinking of you as a medic, just trying to get as much of a rounded picture as possible! When I summon up the strength I'm going to try every doctor I can find.
Also something prominent in my issue is this - when I'm running low on sleep I feel on a high, slightly better concentration, far less anxiety, but it all feels rather unnatural and giddy. Then on the opposite end of the spectrum, when I've caught up with sleep, that's when the awful trouble starts and I have no energy, no concentration, anxiety, depression...the lot. Finding somewhere in the middle of these sleep wise i.e. not getting the required amount but getting almost enough seems to be my 'relatively happy' medium. I still don't feel anywhere near human, but it feels a 'relative normal' in the midst of this nasty business. If any of that makes any sense! It feels like what I need (maybe cortisol?) is too high during sleep deprivation and too low when I'm fully slept. Also, when I've found the strength to cut out all coca cola and junk food etc (which I now fully realise is a necessity not really a choice at this point), when I'm fully slept cutting this out seems to have a very slow process as if progress is being made but it could take months and months. Yet here's the weird bit - if I come off the junk during a 'middle' phase i.e. not too much sleep but not too much sleep deprivation, I feel totally awesome in about 3 days! Literally I have felt about 20% better already and am amazed how nice simply living normally is. Yet the last time I managed this was almost a year ago now, before the thyroid suspect blood test and possibly before my eyebrows started to shortern and itch. I'm kind of thinking at this stage that back then I may have had a chance to turn things around naturally but now I've stepped into either fully blown AF or thyroid issues.
Thanks again, and hope I make some kind of sense.
