She knew the drugs were artificially propping the user's system up and until she could get them well enough to not need them after getting rid of the parasites, what kind of idiot would advise stopping before they are well enough to do so.. They live thru the infestation, then they can detox. If you're dead, not so much.

And like parazapper said, the FDA is vicious. Say or do the 'wrong' thing (aka pharmaceutical cartel's 'rules') and blam, off to jail you go.

She above all things wasn't an idiot. As it was, they still killed her; her knowledge was way too dangerous to the parasite-based 'medical' industry the cartel was making billions of dollars from.
