Re: Food swings, sugar and salt

I have a very similar experience! I started a 90% veggie diet last september. The rest is a bit of protein and a bit of complex carbs. Almost no fruit. At first, i had extreme cravings of Sugar and felt i could not eat enough. Because my body was used to refined carbs, additives and irregular eating habits. After some months, the Sugar craving almost completely passed. I do have it still before the full moon, but not so strong and i can resist anyway :) i usually eat some natural creamed coconut (i found one from this brand called amaizin) and some nuts if i feel like i really need it. I buy veggies from local organic farmers and their stuff tastes so good, full of flavour and so fresh. Even now in the winter. I will never go back to the supermarket stuff. Now i eat much less, i feel full, and i have changed the proportions: tiny bit of complex carbs and big amount of veggies. I also juice salad and raw veggies for breakfast, it has really pulled my minerals up.
According to ayurveda, taking vidanga some time before meals can help with appetite too.
