Re: Not sure if asked before but Can you fast on medications?

Dr. Fuhrman does not allow any of his patients to take medications while fasting. I was lucky enough to attend one of lectures last year and personally spoke to him.

Here is what said about fasting and meds.........

Dr. Fuhrman says that complications can arise when medications are taken on an empty stomach. Those fasting should avoid over-the-counter drugs such as Tylenol, and people taking medication more regularly are probably not good candidates for fasting.

“If you’re requiring medication on a daily basis, you should not be considering fasting,” he says.

The exception, he says, is when a person fasts under the observation of their physician, who will work them off their medications in the weeks prior to the fast.

He also says that nutrition densed foods are the best way to cure diseases. Please read this in its entirety..........

After you don't need to take the meds, you can fast to clean your body.
