Re This forum opened my eyes but hasn't closed my nose.

For the 22 years of my marriage, I have dealt with an overwhelming, Body Odor that emits from my husband's body.
This has caused numerous episodes of EXTREME anguish regarding WHY!!! He is the CLEANEST man I know and doesn't perspire heavily and no longer drinks alcohol. Showers AM and PM, yet, keeping the odor from soaking into our HIGH $ mattresses has been a 22 year battle. FREQUENT changing of bed linens a MUST!
There HAVE short intervals, where I would notice that I didn't notice it while lying in bed, THEN, it would return with a vengeance! LIKE NOW! AND..... he's been having SERIOUS, G.I. problems, coughing, sputtering, gagging, grunting, constant throat clearing, etc. In the past, there have been times his breath had a "Fecal" odor, which STUNNED me so that I've never even MENTIONED it to him. That's an EMBARRASSING thing TO DISCUSS WITH YOUR 66 YEAR OLD MATE!
We've changed his diet and began taking Probiotics, no caffeine/carbonation, spicy, etc. and have an initial appointment tomorrow (1/13/16) with a Gastroenterologist!
While trying to research this issue, I came across this forum and read where many of you have had the SAME Body Odor and FECAL BREATH. SO......this probably explains what I've been living with for 22 years during which he has NOT been sick, NOT had lab work or check-ups, (YES, even prostate) visited a DOCTOR only 3 times in 22 years SO after tests are run, we will probably learn that his long neglect of his health has brought us to where we find ourselves today. I think we are IN A MESS!!! IN TEXAS!!!
