That's good to know.  On the box the ingredents diidn't list it but it may have been used in other words, so thanks for the info. I'd been prescribed Zantac in the prescription formula in the past but I guess because I took it once a day it didn't seem to help much. Maybe taking the generic formula in a lower dose a couple of times a day helped more.

Just think I was diagnosed with gerd for more than 10 years and to tell you the truth the docs only said that I had a lot of acid in my stomach which caused me to have an erosion in my esophagus. I guess I just never took it seriously, but I lost faith while taking the meds. I didn't think they were helping. Betaine tablets help more with enzymatic digestion which is why sometimes people with gerd may need to take the acid blockers as well.
