I believe, you wouldn't put water weight with the magnesium preparations (Epsom, or citrate or chloride). Mg citrate is the most palatable, by the way.
The constipation should subside on raw vegan. It is possible that you have a lot of retained matter in your intestines, since you had different diet so far. I would say that taking special care to clean all that built up will take time therefore becoming regular (pooping as often as you eat) will also take time. If I were you, I would research a bit the topic, so you get more familiar with the options. It may take a month or two on regular (every second or third day) magnesium citrate to clean up all back log. BM twice a week, most probably mean that you may have fecoliths (hardened stool) that impede the passage every time, even if you only eat raw now.
