Re: Herpes: how to tell if you have it
The problem with viral diseases such as herpes is that they enter your cells and place DNA/RNA inside of them. The virus is gone but the DNA/RNA is still there.
Under certain circumstances, the DNA/RNA is activated, and many new viri are produced which then spread to other cells. This is when the outbreak occurs.
It is possible to remove the circumstances that cause the virus to re-emerge thus appearing to be cured.
I had oral herpes for as long as I can remember but it has never returned since I started zapping about 16 years ago. That does not mean that there is still not some DNA/RNA remaining in some of my cells that might erupt at some point if the right conditions appear.
At the same time, it does not mean that I am not cured either. Basically it is and will remain an unknown until there is possibly another eruption.
The same situation appears to be true for shingles and possibly even from some viral induced cancers.
There is no way to guarantee that it is gone.
I do not think that the alternatives are scams or frauds. They do seem to work as well or better than anything that medicine offers. As with anything else the final results probably depend on where in the progression that treatment is applied. If applied early enough, it may work but if applied after the symptoms have progressed, it may be only partially effective or even not at all.
Either way, many of the people who post the negative comments are paid trolls from the pharmaceutical companies.
