Low BP question by fasters.

I was asked a few questions a long time ago by DesertLily and SisterNightingale, but did not see those posts till today because althhough these posts were very interesting, they were long and I did not go that deep. But questions are important and may benefit many. I will try to answer two questions about low BP and mucus in two separate posts. The link below is from their posts........

Dear Archus, SN,
I'd be very interested in reading about sodium and BP. I consume very little sodium, have near the low end of normal blood range of sodium and my BP is 110/70 or a little lower. I don't know whether it will make sense to try increase the blood sodium level. I feel thirsty quite often and consume for the major part distilled water, outside fasts as well. My urine is being with very low absolute weight - as low as 1003-1004 (where distilled water would probably count as 1000). So seemingly, my kidneys retain the minerals and expel just what I don't need. I am not very faint-y in general, but can't say that I am "pumped" up either.

A question for Archus: I run slow & low (resting pulse 55, BP 90/50), and I self-medicate with sodium (mainly just making sure I put it on things... all my salads have salt) to prevent gray-outs when I stand up. I'm not doing it now, obviously, cos I'm dozing around reading books, but so far I haven't been troubled when I change position. Is there some dietary indiscretion known to hit the brakes on the circulatory system? Or, to put it another way, is there something I can eat (after) that'll put the throttle on so I'm not a turtle with thumbs?

Low BP is prevalent amongst women. The reasons for this are unknown. Low BP and high BP are attributed to Adrenal and kidney issues. If systolic number is high or low, adrenal glands are not functioning properly, if diastolic is high or low kidneys are the issue.  One should get their adrenals and kidneys checked thoroughly. There are other reasons for low BP, such as issues with the lymphatic system and hemoglobin, widening of arteries, diabetes and hypothyroidism. Low BP is very easy to fix. Following are some remedies that will help.

1.    Increase the intake of sea salt or Himalayan salt. Lemonade with honey is great for raising BP.
2.    Beets, carrots, pomegranate, lemons, dates, figs, honey, dark chocolate are good BP balancer foods, eat them regularly.
3.    Eat soaked raisins on empty stomach every morning.
4.    Shilajit and Ashwagandha powder are very helpful in raising BP. These two supplements  can be combined with dates to make a paste and taken twice a day.
5.    Pranayama, yoga and laughing cure are great for balancing BP.

Hope this helps. As I said these are easy things to do.

Archus
