how do you deal with scalp redness from SD?

i feel like nothing I do fixes the redness. the only time the redness goes away is when i go on vacation.

i CAN control the dandruff by eating certain types of foods... but the redness stays.

can you guys give me some tips on how to handle redness? i dont want to use steroid creams.
