My experiences are positive, and I am also not concerned about the fluoride content. I feel the positives out weigh any of the "negatives".
I love the stuff. I have gallons of it brewing at one time all the time. I personally let it brew for at least 2 weeks and sometimes up to 30 days at around 23-24 Celsius. I then do a second ferment with ginger or some kind of fruit for a few more days.
