Maybe you reacted badly to it because too much yeast?
I went for kefir since apparently it doesn't have so much yeast, although it does have some. The day after I drank a cup of kefir I was tired and didn't want to do anything all day but sleep. But that went away after that day.
I'm culturing it in coconut milk and you simply let it sit on the counter with a cup or two of your favorite milk ROOM TEMPERATURE for 24 hours. It's that easy.
