I find many of us are sort of angry with nature for not giving us the cures readily. On the other hand expecting to wipe forever a lifetime of bad lifestyle through few 2-week fasts, is certainly too optimistic.
I find that I need to fast more.
I find that you may need to fast more and evaluate what else beside beer and coffee went wrong. On the other hand, coffee may be enough, since it is dehydrating and by itself needs at least 3x more water than its volume to be cleaned out, not to mention the additional water you need to clean everything else that coffee put in-line for you to clear. Then of course the tissues get retention of waste, they on their side press the arteries from around - here you get another BP elevation.
I also think, that having distilled water until you have normalized BP for at least a year would be beneficial.
